I come home to Mississippi (will be more often after finding my BFF lives 5 miles away from this restaurant treasure), looking for 'home folks' and some good cooking - CATFISH HUT y'all!! January 2nd and had FROG LEGS!!!!!!! Catfish was as tender, flaky and delicious as any I've ever had!! I've not had a good hushpuppy of any kind in years and these here are fantastic! I commend the kitchen. Great food is made even greater with a great smile, professional manners, and thorough service of a spectacular server and SANDRA was all that and lots more!! Give this lady 5(10) stars, a thumbs up, a couple of smiley faces and a RAISE!! I wholeheartedly recommend this location! GOD bless America! GOD bless Mississippi! GOD bless Catfish Hut! ”

“ Stumbled across this restaurant while visiting the Oakland area for the week for work. The atmosphere was exactly what you'd expect for a southern small town, it was cozy, inviting, and the staff was extremely friendly. It was my first time here and I got the Philly cheesesteak with fries and it was delicious. Also, the prices are amazing, it's nice to be able to get good food and not have to go broke doing it. ”
“ Yall... so we're here from Oklahoma to watch Ole Miss stomp a mud hole in us and our Air BnB host recommended The Hut to us. I'm thinking... I've had plenty of catfish and hushpuppies in my 56 years of walking this planet... well aight there ain't much else anyway. Stop the %#@! truck right there...I took one bite of that fried okra and I knew this place was real. I mean, like my grandma could fry some dang okra and THIS put hers in its place... and washed its mouth out with soap. So I'm working my way through that okra and I ain't looking up and that catfish is settin there whisperin me to come on over. So I take a sample... I ain't lyin...I had to take my shoes off cuz that's some holy ground right there. And then I took a swim in that tartar sauce... and got BAPTIZED! I mean this... is... some... soul cleansing, get right with the Lord FOOD. I ain't even a hushpuppy guy... apparently I have never been to Enid, MS cuz THESE hushpuppies got me filled with the spirit! This place is soul food... wait, that's onion rings? I'll be back tomorrow. ”

“ This was an amazing gem of a find! It was awesome. Our server, Jessica, was friendly and courteous without being overbearing. The ultra clean restaurant is nestled back from the highway, near the lake. Which is great for the freshest, tastiest catfish I've had in a long while. The salad bar was nicely stocked with fresh vegetables. My only regret is that I was do full (had to get a doggie bag) that I didn't have room for the super-sized hand-dipped ice cream cones. This is definitely on our Must Return To list. ”
